A way to add some pattern into a room is by stenciling. Stenciling an entire room may not be ideal because it can take a lot of time, but by stenciling one wall in a room, you are creating a focal point for people to look at. Place your favourite piece of furniture against this wall and watch people talk about how great of a decorator you are!
Another awesome way to spruce up a room is by adding some pillows. You can find very inexpensive pillows at many places, but you can also make them with simply some fabric and stuffing. This will give you an awesome chance to utilize those sewing skills you never thought you had!
You can always add a splash of colour by adding some ribbon or spray paint to a bland piece in a room such as a lamp. By adding this simple touches, this piece can become a statement piece in your room rather than a hidden monstrosity if may have been before.
A really cool idea that many people don’t think about is doing a black and white feature item or wall. This combination has always been classic and very classy looking in any room. Adding some black and white photos in black or white frames can really bring the attention of a passerby. If you are feeling really risky, you can add a coloured frame with the black and white photo to add that little splash of colour that may be needed.
A simple way to add privacy and class into a room is by adding a window film. Not only is this inexpensive, but this prevents people from people able to see into a room and you can pick from multiple patterns and designs. As you can see in the picture, you are also able to do different techniques such as not covering every pain in a french door or experimenting with the pattern, if you dont like it you can simply peal it off and try another one!
If you have a plain dresser in a room and you want to add some design, simply grab a stencil and some paint and create a picture or design on the furniture. By doing this, you can make a room look creative and edgy by simply changing one piece in the room!
