Chromotherapy: How Important Colour Is In Our Lives
Have you redecorated your home recently? Did you think about the chromotherapy that comes into play when redecorating? Until recently, I did not know what chromotherapy was, but I now know that it can be very influential on my everyday life.
Chromotherapy is colour therapy. This type of therapy follows the philosophy that colours can dictate a person’s energy balance. The colours surrounding a person can affect us emotionally, mentally and also physically. This means that the colours we choose to paint the walls of our home can have a huge impact on how we feel on a daily basis. This is something important to pay attention to if you are planning on redecorating your home or simply painting a room a different colour.
The colour a person chooses for a room does not have to dictate the aura of a room. With the right décor, a room can be transformed from aggressive red walls to a room being romantic. The colour blue is seen to be calming or in some cases represent the unknown, but if paired with the correct décor the room can be extremely sophisticated.
Grey tones are always a good choice in a room. Grey is more of a neutral colour and can be paired with multiple colours of décor. This wall colour can also be both positively and negatively neutralizing which means that if there are pieces of the décor that to some may seem over the top, this colour can calm this piece down while still keeping it as a feature in the room. Grey is also seen as being very modern. Therefore painting your walls grey can match with modern furniture as well as antiques that may work perfectly in your space.
